SemWeb

I’ve been sold on the idea of the Semantic Web for a while, but its because of descriptions like this (however tongue in cheek) that we’ll end up with something labelled Web 3.0.4.11!

    Paul (who really doesn’t want to see 3.0.4.11, and who’s sure that semantic technologies have a lot to offer long before we reach The Semantic Web)

    :-) I was agreeing with you.

    There’s huge potential in the existing data on the web/in the cloud(s), without having to get to the all encompasing ontological wonder. It would just help if so much of it wasn’t in impermeable clouds!
