Being re-written

I was recently asked to write about myself for a project at work. I sent it off, and I’m currently reviewing the edited result. I can see why the changes have been made – it’s more formal, the english is a little better, and trademarks are properly used. However, it doesn’t sound like me, and all the humour has gone. The question now is how to sneak that stuff back in…

Hmmm… that’s a shame. Perhaps you could simply just pop the edited out stuff back in again? They might not notice! It sounds like your editor might not want it to be funny. I would try to come up with one really funny bit and put it in the middle. If things get really desperate you could email it out to everyone you know and ask them to add bits.
    Good luck!
