… is the title of a West Wing episode in which it is translated as ‘after therefore because of it’ to mean all too often effects are attributed to incorrect causes simply because the percieved cause occurred before the effect.
It’s all too easy to fall into this trap and, having been reminded of it by someone a couple of days ago I’ve noticed that I’ve fallen for it at least once in that time.
So perhaps I correctly linked the cause and effect and perhaps not and there’s no real way to know without looking stupid if I didn’t… (and the link being incorrect is really my preferred reality). A conundrum!
