Death of a laptop

My trusty 12 inch PowerBook died last weekend so now all it does when turned on is make an interesting whir-click noise :-(
I’m not sure if I want to replace it or not. The near £2000 that I’d spend on a new Mac might be more ‘freedom’-creatingly spent on a car…

Confusion

Somehow I’ve let my head get all tangled up in fits of confusion and annoyance so I’m glad for a weekend to try and straighten it out. Fingers crossed for better weather than last week.

Easter Weekend

4 days off work and what to do?

Quite a lot actually. A night out, lots of reading and DVDs, a trip to the fun fair, a visit to Brockenhurst, and a visit to Bournemouth.

It was pretty good weather but not quite nice enough for the 2 trips. Both consisted of some train travel, about an hour and a half of sitting in the mild warmth and wind (meaning it was pretty cold) followed by a pretty rapid return trip. When the cloud wasn’t overhead and the wind was down it was really promisingly warm. Bring on the summer!

Axis2

I keep on being given interesting different things to do at work. Yesterday my first contribution to Axis2 was committed. Thanks dims.

Google Local UK

I just saw a web ad for Google Local UK referencing something in Southampton… now either its a coincidence or somehow they know where I am. I find the latter a little spooky.
Anyone know which is the case?
