Now that I’m reasonalbly sure that everything works OK, I’ll start on the real work. As the site says somewhere, I’m a Computer Science student at Edinburgh University. Having just finished Week 4 of my first term, I can honestly say that I am under working, and socialising too much. However, everyone keeps on saying that’s what first year is all about and I am managing to persuade myself that they are right.
Something about me; I’m Scottish, 19 Today (Wooo!), I read slashdot.org far too much and generally spend a lot of time doing computery, techy things. A lot of this is focussed around mozilla.org and associated projects. I spent a LOT of time over the summer doing bug triage and general qa on mozilla, and I look forward to getting back to that as soon as I can get proper access to IRC again. But since I have been having problems doing mozilla.org stuff, I’ve temporarily moved to a more developery role with the optimox mozdev project. Over the past six weeks I have been participating in the gestures part of the optimoz project (when I’ve had a free second). I got involved in this becuase I saw what Andy Edwards had done with inspiration from my UserAgent toolbar and thought gestures looked really cool (having never seen them before)
Thanks to my family for their cards and presents, I look forward to seeing them soon.
